The Cerefy Brain Atlas Geometrical Models is a software package composed of digitized Thieme brain atlases in geometrical
and polygonal representations. The software contains both the brain atlas database and a browser. The brain atlas database
is comprised:
|
- 2D (contour representation) of Schaltenbrand-Wahren atlas.
- 3D polygonal models of the Schaltenbrand-Wahren atlas.
- 3D polygonal models of theTalairach-Tournoux 1988 atlas.
The Cerefy Brain Atlas Geometrical Models browser allows viewing and use of the brain atlas database and facilitates the building
of a user's own atlas-assisted applications. It allows for displaying the Schaltenbrand-Wahren contours, and 3D Talairach-Tournoux
and 3D Schaltenbrand-Wahren structures. The browser enables the user to load all, single, or multiple structures from either of the
3D atlases, or single or multiple contours from a single Schaltenbrand-Wahren atlas plate. Rendering a contour involves rendering a
closed line loop with a set of 2D points read from the contour file. Rendering a surface model, i.e., a set of indexed polygon
vertices, consists of rendering t-meshed polygons.
